Change in Chemo

Warren had a very rough weekend with sore's all through his mouth and down into his throat. They have given him medication to combat the sore's and blisters, but it takes time. We are thankful that he did run any fever or become so dehydrated that we would have had to take a hospital visit. He has not been able to talk much at all. Dr. Huh has taken him off of the trial medication until his mouth heals. On Friday and today they administered fluids as he was a bit dehydrated. He is not able to eat or drink much because anything placed in his mouth is very painful. He is in and out of sleep most of the time. I know his body needs the rest, but I check on him often to make sure he is OK. Thank you for all your prayers and notes, they are so encouraging and knowing how many are praying is bringing us through many hard days. Thank you so much for keeping us all in your prayers!!

Oh Warren and Tana: I feel so bad for all these difficulties you are having. I know we are to rest in the Lord but I know you must be worn out. I had hoped this trial chemo would be the "miracle drug" and not have such side effects. I am so glad Pastor Warren has such a strong will because it must help. Uplifting you in prayer. Randi

Warren and Tana,
You don't know me, but I do know Mr. and Mrs. Rodabaugh. I homeschooled for 17 years as a single parent and know the many frustrations (and joys) that can take place. I don't know how difficult it is when your husband is so sick. I want you to know I pray for you every day.

I was having lunch with a friend yesterday when we were talking about your family. I said I pray for a miracle every day. She said she has recently changed her prayers from healing to a miracle. I pray for a miracle out of selfishness to keep you here with your family. I have prayed this verse when a family member was very ill, and I do for you also: "For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow." Phil. 2:27

Many people love you and your family and I hope this is an encouragement to you.

Dear Warren and Tana

Looking forward to seeing all on Monday. Let us know if there needs to be a change in plans. We do not want to add to your exhaustion. We love you and pray daily.

Love,

Aunt Sharon

Warren and Tana: Just reading to keep updated on your prayer needs. You are in our prayers frequently every day! I remember a verse, "This poor man cried, and HE heard me." praying for your needs to be met, for the pain to lessen, and for wisdom.

Hey Warren & Tana, haven't talked to you guys lately. I didn't know you had this blog until the other day when my mom said she had come across it. All I can say is "wow". I love the way you've kept your head up through all this, and I can see God's grace at work. Don't mean to say it's been easy, but I'm impressed with all you've said when I consider how much griping I do about my little problems, or that I've had a "less than what I hoped for" summer! :-) So God bless you!
